A mixture of old and new, but a few pieces worth having a look at. Is it really thirty-five years? We remember looking at the Pistols' album in HMV in Oxford Street when it had just come out. A voice rang out declaring, "I wouldn't buy that, it's a load of bollocks." When we turned round to see who had spoken, it was Jimmy Pursey. These sort of things just don't happen these days!
There's little doubt in our minds that 'Unter is the greatest rock lyricist this country has ever produced. With his career rejuvenated since the release of Rant in 2001, he has barely put a foot wrong over the past decade, releasing some splendid albums and finding time for the long-overdue Mott The Hoople reunion shows of 2009. This is his fourteenth solo album since he walked away from the world's finest rock band in 1974.

Second album from the much-hyped Vaccines. Have to admit we found the debut to be achingly retro, so we wait in interest to see if they have moved on. Initially available in a deluxe 2CD package featuring three extra tracks and the band live at the Brighton Centre in May 2012.
More newbies much fancied by certain elements of the media. Toy resurrect the Shoegazing sound which in our view is no bad thing.
Held back a few weeks from its originally scheduled release date. Race Horses are a genuinely interesting band, and here the Welsh indie popsters follow up the surprising Goodbye Falkenburg with their second album.
2LP, CD and DVD packages of Muddy Waters and the Rolling Stones Live at the Checkerboard Lounge 1981 and Some Girls Live In Texas 1978. Love them or loathe them, the music we love wouldn't exist without them.
The third album since their 2005 reformation.

The 35th anniversary of the release of the only album from the band who changed the world sees a plethora of different formats on offer. The Super Deluxe box set is the most interesting and features three CDs and one DVD, a replica A&M 'God Save The Queen' seven-inch single, postcards, a full size reproduction of the Bollocks poster and a copy of the original handwritten lyrics for 'God Save The Queen'.
