As usual, there was very little happening in December with most of the pre-Christmas releases hitting the shops in October and November. One that got away included, look for the rest in the new year.
Double CD featuring a largely celebratory set of greatest hits to appeal to festival goers from their first UK outing for two years, on the Isle of Wight back in September 2011. Released in aid of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, with excellent sound quality.

A 20-song CD or 12-song vinyl album featuring five previously unreleased cuts.
Virgin-EMI release remastered CDs of the complete PiL album back catalogue (with the exception of Metal Box & Second Edition which were re-issued in 2009 and 2011 respectively). The discs have been mastered from the superb Japanese 2011 reissues. All will be released in their original UK formats (in jewel cases with the same tracklisting). John Lydon's 1997 solo album Psycho's Path will also be released on this date; the disc has been unavailable for several years. No extras, no repackaging - this stuff should be available and the remastering is welcome, but it looks like another typical Virgin can't be arsed to take any trouble production.
Vinyl collector-fest limited to just 3,000 copies and available from www.internationalartistsrecords.com. The box set includes:

The long-promised 40th aniversary edition finally sees the light of day with 2CD and 2LP sets including eight alternative takes as well as a previously unissued track.
